Joining a specialist sustainability and retrofit team delivering energy-efficiency and decarbonisation projects across residential properties, with responsibility for Retrofit Coordination, PAS 2035 compliance and technical quality across live projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and Level 5 qualified Retrofit Coordinator to join a leading contractor delivering retrofit and decarbonisation programmes across the region. Working through Skilled Careers, you will provide in-house Retrofit Coordination across live projects, ensuring compliance with PAS 2035, carrying out technical quality assurance and working closely with project teams, designers, contractors and external stakeholders. The role offers a varied office and site-based split, typically involving two days per week from the Hatfield office and two days visiting live project sites. There may also be the opportunity to work from home one day per week depending on project requirements, although this is not guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering Retrofit Coordination across live projects in accordance with PAS 2035
  • Providing technical oversight throughout retrofit assessment, design and delivery
  • Carrying out detailed QA of Retrofit Assessments, Retrofit Designs and associated documentation
  • Reviewing project data, technical documentation and audit trails to ensure compliance
  • Identifying and resolving technical and compliance issues across live projects
  • Working closely with project managers, technical teams, designers and contractors
  • Supporting projects through external audits and funding compliance requirements
  • Undertaking Retrofit Assessments on selected projects where required
  • Attending project reviews and technical meetings, providing advice on retrofit solutions and risk
  • Supporting the selection of compliant and sustainable materials and retrofit solutions
  • Keeping up to date with PAS 2035, Building Regulations, funding requirements and developments within the retrofit sector

Requirements

  • Level 5 Retrofit Coordinator qualification – essential
  • Minimum 1 year of experience leading projects as a Retrofit Coordinator – essential
  • Strong working knowledge of PAS 2035 and PAS 2030
  • Demonstrable experience delivering Retrofit Coordination across live projects
  • Strong experience carrying out detailed QA of Retrofit Assessments
  • Ability to review and interrogate PAS 2035 technical documentation
  • Understanding of Building Regulations and retrofit compliance requirements
  • Strong technical, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Confident communicating with internal teams, contractors, clients and external stakeholders
  • Full UK driving licence with the ability to travel between sites

Experience with social housing retrofit, SHDF/Warm Homes funded programmes, Elmhurst or a Level 4 Retrofit Assessor qualification would be advantageous.
