I’m working with a growing and well-established M&E contractor based in Essex who are looking to appoint an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to support a strong pipeline of commercial and healthcare projects across London and the South East.
This is a flexible role offering a mix of site visits, office working and the ability to work from home when required. The business delivers mechanical and electrical packages across a range of projects and is looking for someone commercially sharp, organised and confident managing costs from pre-construction through to final account.
The Role:
- Manage the commercial aspects of M&E projects from award through to final account
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
- Cost reporting, valuations, variations and cash flow forecasting
- Liaise closely with Project Managers, clients and subcontractors
- Support with contract administration and commercial strategy
- Attend site meetings and provide commercial support to operational teams
- Identify and manage commercial risk across projects
- Work across multiple live projects within commercial and healthcare sectors
Requirements:
- Experience working as an M&E QS or Mechanical/Electrical QS
- Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical packages
- Experience within residential projects
- Good contractual and commercial knowledge
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
