Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Supervise a team of multi-trade operatives and sub-contractors delivering day-to-day reactive repairs across social housing stock.
  • Quality & Performance: Conduct thorough pre- and post-inspections to ensure works are completed to high standards and audited accurately against Schedule of Rates (SOR).
  • Workforce Support: Work side-by-side with operatives on-site to resolve technical issues, remove blockers, and ensure job turnaround times (KPIs) are met.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce strict H&S regulations on live residential sites, carrying out toolbox talks, RAMS checks, and safety audits.
  • Resident & Client Relations: De-escalate resident queries, handle access challenges, and maintain strong working relationships with housing officers.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven history as a Repairs Supervisor or Maintenance Supervisor within social housing, housing association, or local authority contracts.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of reactive repairs, multi-trade works, and Schedule of Rates (SOR / NHF).
  • Mobility: Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence to cover the North London and Essex patch from the Enfield base using the company van.
  • Certifications: Valid CSCS card and SSSTS / SMSTS preferred (or relevant trade qualification / equivalent supervisory experience).
