An Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer is required to join a growing team and work alongside senior engineers due to continued company growth. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the UK residential and commercial building services sector. As an intermediate-level engineer, they will need to demonstrate a passion for electrical engineering with expertise in the following areas:
- Good understanding of residential and commercial buildings
- Full understanding of Building Regulations, British Standards and IET Wiring Regulations
- Ability to undertake lighting calculations using either Dialux or Relux software
- Capable of completing electrical cable calculations using Amtech software
- Proficient in using AutoCAD
- Must be an effective communicator in both written and verbal skills
- Be able to manage their own time in order to meet strict deadlines
- An ability to follow company standards and use standard documents
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Liaise with senior members of staff to ensure that targets are met and that any issues arising on projects can be dealt with
- Preparation and reviewing of drawings completed by internal CAD team
