As they continue to grow, they are looking to add a talented Junior Electrical Design Engineer to their dynamic team. Role Overview: As a Junior Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of electrical systems for building services projects. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will gain hands-on experience in designing electrical systems that are energy-efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with the latest industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and specification of electrical systems for various building services projects, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and security systems. Prepare electrical schematics, layouts, and detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD and other design tools. Support senior engineers in carrying out calculations for electrical load, voltage drop, and circuit protection. Conduct site visits and surveys to assess existing conditions and assist with project implementation. Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations and standards, including the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). Collaborate with project teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors, to deliver integrated building systems. Assist with the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and project proposals. Keep up to date with emerging technologies, standards, and trends in building services engineering. Key Skills and Qualifications: A degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent qualification). Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and building services design. Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software. Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and regulations (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations, British Standards). Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under supervision and take initiative when required.
