About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing London-based design consultancy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, developing technically robust and commercially viable solutions, and working closely with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
You will play a key role in the delivery of structural engineering projects from early feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction. The role will involve both technical design and project leadership, with opportunities to take responsibility for junior engineers and contribute to the continued development of the structural engineering team.
Our projects span a variety of sectors, including data centres, energy, industrial and logistics, commercial, retail, residential and other complex developments , providing exposure to technically challenging projects in the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the structural engineering design of projects from feasibility and concept through to detailed design and construction.
Undertake structural analysis and design using first-principles engineering judgement and appropriate analytical methods.
Develop safe, practical, sustainable and cost-effective structural solutions.
Prepare and review structural calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation.
Coordinate structural designs with architects, civil engineers, MEP consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
Produce and review structural drawings and BIM information in collaboration with technicians and BIM teams.
Take responsibility for the technical delivery of projects within your area of expertise.
Manage project workloads, programmes and deliverables to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
