The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in traditional stone walling techniques, demonstrating craftsmanship and attention to detail. This role involves constructing and repairing dry stone walls using various hand and power tools, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. Duties * Construct and repair dry stone walls, utilising traditional methods and techniques. * Select appropriate stones and materials for each project, ensuring quality and durability. * Use hand tools such as chisels, hammers, and trowels to shape stones for fitting. * Operate power tools safely for cutting and shaping materials as required. * Collaborate with team members on larger projects, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to timelines. * Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following health and safety regulations. * Assist in other masonry tasks as needed, including bricklaying, carpentry, roofing, or welding when required.
