Due to continued growth and a strong land pipeline across Essex, they are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple residential developments throughout the region.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Construction Director, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of several live developments across Essex, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and supporting multiple Site Managers across several developments.
  • Driving build programmes and ensuring project milestones are achieved.
  • Maintaining exceptional health and safety standards across all sites.
  • Monitoring build quality and ensuring customer satisfaction targets are met.
  • Managing labour, subcontractors, and supply chain performance.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and progress reviews.
  • Working closely with Commercial, Technical, Sales, and Customer Care teams.
  • Supporting the business in achieving operational and financial objectives.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Construction Manager within the volume or premium housebuilding sector.
  • A strong track record of successfully managing multiple residential developments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of NHBC standards, building regulations, and health & safety legislation.
  • The ability to motivate teams and drive performance across multiple sites.
  • Relevant construction qualifications and certifications.
