We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading UK house builder for an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead a major residential development in Clacton-on-Sea. The development is well underway and requires a driven and experienced Senior Site Manager capable of leading multiple teams while maintaining the highest standards of quality, health & safety, and programme delivery.
As Senior Site Manager, you will take overall responsibility for a large phase of the development, managing and supporting two site teams, each consisting of a Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager. You will work closely with the Project Manager and wider construction team to ensure the successful delivery of homes to programme, budget, and quality standards while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
- Oversee two site-based management teams to ensure efficient delivery of the build programme.
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with NHBC standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to achieve programme targets.
- Monitor build progress, costs, and site productivity.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure timely defect resolution.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and local authorities.
- Support and mentor Site Managers and Assistant Site Managers within your teams.
Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or experienced Site Manager within the residential house-building sector is required. A track record of delivering large-scale traditional build housing developments is essential. Excellent knowledge of NHBC standards, building regulations, and health & safety legislation is necessary. The ability to manage multiple phases, teams, and subcontractors simultaneously is crucial. SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications are also required.
