A well-established engineering consultancy is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join their London team, delivering a wide variety of building structures projects across residential, commercial, education, cultural and mixed-use sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys creative, design-led work and wants to contribute to high-quality, sustainable buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake structural design and analysis across steel, concrete, timber and masonry structures
- Prepare and review calculations, drawings, design reports and specifications
- Work closely with architects, clients and other consultants throughout concept to construction stages
- Attend design meetings, site visits and inspections
- Contribute to the coordination of multidisciplinary project teams
- Support and mentor junior engineers where necessary
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards and project requirements
About You
- 3–7+ years’ experience in a structural engineering design environment
- Good understanding of UK building design codes (Eurocodes/BS)
- Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g., Tekla, Tedds, Robot, Etabs, SAFE, SCIA or similar)
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng preferred)
- Working toward chartership (or already Chartered) with IStructE/ICE
- Keen interest in good design, sustainability and buildability
