I’m working with a growing and well-established M&E contractor based in Essex who are looking to appoint an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to support a strong pipeline of commercial and healthcare projects across London and the South East. This is a flexible role offering a mix of site visits, office working and the ability to work from home when required. The business delivers mechanical and electrical packages across a range of projects and is looking for someone commercially sharp, organised and confident managing costs from pre-construction through to final account.

The Role:

  • Manage the commercial aspects of M&E projects from award through to final account
  • Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
  • Cost reporting, valuations, variations and cash flow forecasting
  • Liaise closely with Project Managers, clients and subcontractors
  • Support with contract administration and commercial strategy
  • Attend site meetings and provide commercial support to operational teams
  • Identify and manage commercial risk across projects
  • Work across multiple live projects within commercial and healthcare sectors

Requirements:

  • Experience working as an M&E QS or Mechanical/Electrical QS
  • Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical packages
  • Experience within residential projects
  • Good contractual and commercial knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Full UK driving licence
