Responsibilities
- Conduct property inspections on occupied and void homes across West London & Home Counties as a Building Surveyor.
- Prepare detailed work specifications, cost recommendations, and condition reports to manage complex repairs.
- Manage contractors, oversee projects, and ensure value for money and high-quality delivery in a Repairs & Maintenance environment.
- Resolve resident complaints, Councillor or MP enquiries, and liaise with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Oversee budgets, variations, and insurance-related works including fire, flood, and theft claims.
Qualifications
- HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying, or extensive experience as a Building Surveyor in West London or Home Counties.
- Proven experience in social housing or similar property environments, including repairs and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of NHF Schedules of Rates, specification writing, and property inspections.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills in a Building Surveyor role.
- Demonstrable Health & Safety awareness and experience managing budgets and contract compliance.
