The role: We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a background in main contracting with proven experience in managing the commercial delivery of design and build projects. Working with site based project teams, your responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor may include:
- Managing the commercial aspects of projects up to £20 million in value.
- Full management of accounts, including procurement, placing orders, payments and final accounting.
- Assessing subcontractor progress and budget compliance.
- Undertaking valuations.
- Producing accurate internal and external financial reports, forecasts and liabilities.
- Identifying opportunities to maximise value and reduce costs.
- Highlighting risks and developing mitigation strategies.
About you: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on projects valued at £5m+. Demonstrable expertise in package procurement and management across high-value, complex scopes. Proficiency with JCT contracts. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline or RICS accredited. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proactive, commercially focused mindset with a keen eye for detail and risk. Excellent negotiation skills. Comfortable working on your own initiative.
