Duties:
- Operate telehandlers safely and efficiently to lift, move, and place materials at various heights and distances.
- Conduct routine inspections of the equipment to ensure it is in proper working order, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from lorries, containers, or storage areas.
- Coordinate with site managers and other team members to plan material movements according to project schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Support other machinery operations such as excavators when required, demonstrating mechanical knowledge as needed.
- Follow all health and safety protocols to minimise risks on-site and promote a safe working environment.
Experience:
- Proven experience operating telehandlers in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to heavy machinery, including excavators.
- Valid certification or licence for commercial driving is essential.
- Prior experience with excavators is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
