Skilled Careers are seeking an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor to support a local authority housing service responding to increased demand across its Housing Revenue Account portfolio.
The role sits within a Property Services function managing several thousand council owned homes, including general needs housing, older persons accommodation and temporary accommodation. The focus of the role is the delivery and recording of stock condition data to support compliance, investment planning and future programme delivery.
This is a hands-on surveying role suited to someone confident working at pace across occupied housing stock and comfortable using digital systems to record findings on site.
The Role
You will undertake stock condition surveys across a varied residential portfolio, recording the condition of individual dwellings and identifying issues relating to building fabric, components and statutory standards.
About You
- Proven experience delivering stock condition surveys within social housing
- Strong building surveying knowledge across residential property
- HHSRS qualification or demonstrable applied experience
- Confident using digital survey tools and mobile technology
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently across a patch
This role has been created to support a defined programme of survey work. While the initial requirement is temporary, there may be wider opportunities within the property function as the programme progresses.
