A leading UK construction contractor is delivering a major, high-profile commercial refurbishment in Birmingham city centre and is seeking an experienced Fit-Out Site Manager to support the internal delivery phase of the project. The business operates nationally and has a strong reputation for complex commercial refurbishments and high-quality interior fit-out works. This is a long-term contract role, offering stability on a flagship scheme with a defined programme and established site team.
The Fit-Out Site Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of internal works, ensuring the fit-out is delivered safely, to a high standard and in line with the programme. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and coordinating fit-out subcontractors across multiple workfaces
- Overseeing internal trades including drylining, ceilings, joinery and finishes
- Driving programme, quality and productivity during the fit-out phase
- Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained throughout site activities
- Coordinating with M&E and other trades to manage interfaces and sequencing
- Reporting progress and supporting short-term planning with the project team
Proven experience managing commercial fit-out works on large refurbishment projects is required, along with a strong understanding of internal construction sequencing and quality control. Experience working in city-centre or constrained environments is preferred. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organised and delivery-focused with clear communication skills.
Contract Details: 24-month contract, Birmingham city centre, Immediate / near-term start available.
