We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor on a major prison project in Bedfordshire. This is a long-term opportunity, with a minimum contract duration of 12 months, offering an attractive £400 per day via Umbrella PAYE.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising electrical works on site, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, programmes, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate electrical installation works on site.
- Manage electrical subcontractors and site teams, ensuring works are completed to programme.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with drawings, specifications, RAMS, and relevant regulations.
- Monitor quality and progress of electrical installations.
- Coordinate with the wider construction team, site management, and other trades.
- Carry out regular inspections and ensure any defects or issues are identified and rectified.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained at all times.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress and any technical issues.
- Assist with planning, sequencing, and coordination of electrical works.
- Ensure all works are completed in line with the requirements of the Tier 1 contractor and client.
Requirements
- Strong experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Experience working for a Tier 1 Main Contractor is highly desirable.
- Relevant electrical qualifications and/or supervisory qualifications.
- Strong understanding of electrical installations, construction processes, and site health & safety.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to lead subcontractors and electrical teams effectively.
- Enhanced DBS clearance is mandatory due to the live prison environment. Candidates must be willing and able to successfully complete the required enhanced DBS check before commencing work.
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
- CSCS Gold or Black Card.
