We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a school refurbishment project during the summer holiday period.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of a refurbishment project within a school during the summer holiday period.
The successful candidate will ensure works are completed safely, on programme, and to a high standard, while coordinating subcontractors and maintaining excellent site records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day site operations and subcontractors.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and site procedures.
- Monitor programme, quality, and progress of works.
- Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular inspections.
- Liaise with the client, project team, and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Proven experience managing refurbishment projects.
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and work independently.
Experience delivering refurbishment projects within schools or other educational settings is highly desirable.
