Associate Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role:

A small, dynamic, and growing MEP consultancy, located near London Bridge, is seeking a talented and ambitious Associate Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of engineers, work on technically challenging and diverse projects, and be a key client-facing representative of the company. You will play a crucial role in shaping the electrical design aspects of their projects, contributing to innovative and sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of electrical design engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Take ownership of electrical design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and understanding their needs.
• Develop and review electrical designs for a range of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Oversee and contribute to the production of detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Conduct site visits and attend client meetings as required.
• Contribute to the development of the company\’s technical expertise and best practices.
• Manage project budgets and resources effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience in electrical design within a building services environment.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in client-facing situations.
• Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Amtech, and Dialux.
