We are working with a prestigious luxury residence located in the heart of Kensington, renowned for exceptional service and world-class living standards. They are now seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the ongoing delivery of a first-class maintenance service across our property.
Working closely with the Chief Engineer, this is a hands-on leadership role where you will help oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, manage a skilled engineering team and ensure the building is maintained to the highest possible standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Chief Engineer with the daily operation of all maintenance and engineering activities
- Supervise, lead and motivate a team of engineers and assistants
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond effectively to reactive issues
- Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical and building systems
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and statutory requirements
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and documentation
- Coordinate and manage external contractors and specialist suppliers
- Uphold exceptional standards of presentation, service and professionalism throughout the residence
About You
- Proven supervisory experience within a luxury residential, 5-star hospitality or premium environment
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, BMS and plumbing
- Relevant technical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
- A hands-on, proactive approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to lead by example and inspire a high-performing team
