We are currently recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established facilities management contract on a shift basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional engineering team working within a modern commercial environment.
The Role
As a Mechanical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical building services systems, ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and without disruption.
Key duties include:
- Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems
- Working on HVAC, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, pipework and associated plant
- Fault finding and resolving mechanical issues quickly and effectively
- Supporting minor installations and remedial works
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations
- Updating job records via CAFM system
- Supporting the wider shift team when required
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified in Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
- Experience within commercial building services or FM environments
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of health & safety and safe systems of work
- Ability to work effectively within a shift team
