I am currently looking for a Technical Manager for a £1 billion turnover residential developer to work on large scale residential projects. The Technical Manager should have experience working on RC frame schemes. They offer a strong pipeline of work, with a competitive salary and package.

The Technical Manager will be responsible for the scheme from RIBA stage 4 onwards and be tasked with delivering the project to scope and budget. The Technical Manager should have relevant experience on these types of schemes and manage the process from start to finish, managing all stakeholders accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Thorough with a pro-active management style
  • Ability to prioritise as appropriate, motivate and communicate to influence others to ensure that the required objectives are met
  • Leadership skills including being decisive, flexible, good time management, organised, effective, works well under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Experience and understanding of maintaining technical schedules
  • Ability to review drawings and identify buildability and technical issues
  • Project and process management
  • Problem solving and decision making
  • Design delivery and assessing risks
  • Effective communication with all levels of management and project teams, both internal and external to the Company
  • Ability to coach and train junior and new team members in technical processes and procedures
  • Passionate about customer satisfaction, house building and construction, with a focus on high standards and excellence
  • Knowledge and understanding of regeneration in mixed tenure developments
  • Written and verbal communication skills

Deliverables:

  • Coordinate technical and design processes, design teams and subcontractors throughout detail design, procurement and construction, monitoring progress to ensure delivery on time and in budget
  • Technical design coordination of schemes, ensuring that the maximum revenue is generated by the quality, cost effectiveness and buildability of the design
  • Assisting Technical Managers with reviewing of consultants' detail design drawings and subcontractor designs
  • Coordinating consultants and their deliverables driving a high standard
  • Ensuring that designs comply with Company's standards
  • Promoting design that respects budgetary constraints
