Senior Document Controller Location: North London Salary: Β£40,000 - Β£50,000 + Comprehensive Benefits Package Sector: Residential Development Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Company Our client is a well-established and growing residential developer delivering high-quality mixed-tenure housing developments across London and the South East. Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are seeking an experienced Senior Document Controller to join their North London head office and support multiple live residential developments. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised document control professional to play a key role in maintaining project information, ensuring compliance, and supporting project teams throughout the full development lifecycle. The Role Reporting to the head of technial and working closely with Technical, Commercial, Construction and Sales teams, the Senior Document Controller will be responsible for the management and control of project documentation across a number of residential developments. The successful candidate will ensure all project information is accurately recorded, distributed, maintained and archived in accordance with company procedures and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain all project documentation through the project's Document Management System (DMS). Control the issue, receipt, distribution and archiving of drawings, specifications, reports and technical documentation. Ensure all project records are current, accurate and readily accessible to relevant stakeholders. Monitor and track design team information, drawing revisions and status updates. Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors and internal departments to ensure timely document submissions and approvals. Coordinate document workflows and transmittals in line with project deadlines. Maintain document registers, drawing logs and technical trackers. Produce regular reports on document status, outstanding information and project milestones. Support Technical and Construction teams throughout planning, design, procurement and construction phases. Ensure compliance with company quality management procedures and information management protocols. Train and support project teams in the effective use of document management systems. Assist in the continuous improvement of document control processes and procedures. Manage handover documentation, O&M manuals and project close-out information. Skills & Experience Required Minimum 5 years' experience as a Document Controller within residential development, construction, housebuilding or main contracting. Strong understanding of document management processes across the full project lifecycle. Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent knowledge of document management systems such as Viewpoint, Asite, Aconex, 4Projects, Procore or similar. Experience controlling technical drawings and consultant information. High level of attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to prioritise workload and meet project deadlines. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook. TPBN1_UKTJ
