Job Title: Excavation Banksman
Location: Bexhill, East Sussex
Start Date: Tuesday 27th May

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Excavation Banksman to join our team on a construction site based in Bexhill. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong understanding of site safety and excavation operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a dedicated banksman for excavation and groundworks operations

• Guide plant operators and ensure safe movement of vehicles and machinery on site

• Maintain safe exclusion zones around excavations and heavy plant

• Conduct daily safety checks and report any hazards or near misses

• Ensure clear communication between machine operators and ground staff

• Follow all health & safety procedures and site rules

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Banksman on excavation or groundwork projects

• Valid CPCS, NPORS or other relevant qualification/certification

• CSCS Card

• Good understanding of site health & safety protocols

• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively

• Physically fit and prepared for outdoor work in all weather

Desirable:

• Confined space or deep excavation awareness training

• First Aid or other relevant site safety certifications
