My client, a large Tier 1 Contractor, is looking for a Disrepairs Manager for a Permanent role based in Croydon.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Disrepair Manager:

  • Oversee the management of disrepair cases and supervise a team comprising surveyors and a disrepair officer.
  • Attend court proceedings related to disrepair claims as necessary.
  • Develop and implement processes aimed at mitigating future claims.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the various liabilities covered by the Housing Association.
  • Audit survey reports from surveyors to ensure compliance with company protocols.
  • Apply knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to disrepair, including Sections 9, 10, and 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.
  • Review the work of appointed contractors to ensure alignment with internal objectives.
  • Ensure that all data is accurately recorded and maintained.
