A leading property services and construction contractor is looking to strengthen its commercial team with Senior Quantity Surveyors to support a significant programme of works.The business has secured a strong pipeline of work across Council and Housing association programmes, with substantial long-term opportunities available. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of sizeable property services contracts and play an important role within a growing commercial team. The Role As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial performance of projects and supporting the wider commercial team throughout the contract lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the commercial performance of allocated projects and contracts Preparing and reviewing valuations, applications and payments Managing subcontractor accounts, procurement and payments Monitoring project costs, budgets and financial performance Preparing and reviewing CVRs and commercial reports Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities Supporting variations, compensation events and contractual matters Working closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners Providing commercial guidance and support to junior members of the team Ensuring projects are delivered in line with contractual and commercial requirements About You We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in property services, maintenance, refurbishment or social housing. You will ideally have experience working on: Planned maintenance / planned works Refurbishment programmes Social housing or local authority contracts Framework-based contracts NEC, JCT or similar forms of contract Commercial management from pre-construction through to final account You should be commercially confident, comfortable dealing directly with clients and subcontractors, and able to take ownership of your projects. What's on Offer £70,000 - £85,000 salary depending on experience
