Registered Nurses provide high-quality, patient-centred care within healthcare settings such as hospitals, care homes, clinics, and community environments. They are responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and delivering care, administering treatments, and ensuring patient safety and wellbeing. As regulated professionals, Registered Nurses must hold a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN and adhere to professional standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care in line with best practice standards
- Monitor patients’ conditions and respond promptly to changes
- Provide emotional support and promote patient dignity and independence
- Clinical Duties
- Administer medications safely in accordance with NMC guidelines
- Perform clinical procedures (e.g., wound care, injections, catheterisation)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

- Care Coordination
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, healthcare assistants, and allied health professionals

- Adhere to infection prevention and control policies
- Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Safeguard vulnerable patients and report concerns appropriately

- Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and support Healthcare Assistants and junior staff
- Act as a role model and uphold professional conduct

- Maintain a valid NMC PIN and comply with revalidation requirements

Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN (UK)
- Degree or diploma in Nursing
