- Reef Group is seeking a qualified
Truck Driver to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. Established in 2002, Reef Group is a multi-award-winning freight transport company servicing customers across Western Australia.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position involves the safe and efficient operation of heavy vehicles, the timely transport of freight, and maintaining compliance with all legal, safety, and company requirements.
The role requires professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to customer service.
- Key Duties
- Operate heavy commercial vehicles on assigned routes with a strong focus on safety.
- Deliver freight on schedule, planning efficient travel using maps or GPS.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo in accordance with safety standards.
- Conduct daily pre-start and post-trip inspections, reporting defects promptly.
- Record and monitor job progress using Linksoft.
- Comply with NHVR, Department of Transport regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with schedulers and customers, escalating delays or issues.
- Complete customer site inductions and attend company training.
- Required Skills & Experience
- Current HR/HC/MC licence with proven truck driving experience.
- Clean driving history and ability to pass a police clearance.
- Demonstrated experience as a truck driver or in a similar transport role.
- Physically capable of lifting and handling loads.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and public holidays if required.
- Professional, independent, and safety-conscious approach to work.
- Must hold valid working rights in Australia.
