Why This Role Matters
The Attendee Sales Manager drives ticket revenue by converting marketing interest into paid registrations across Skift Live events. This role ensures leads are followed up quickly and thoughtfully, group sales are secured, and the right attendees are in the room. By partnering closely with marketing and maintaining a strong CRM pipeline, this role directly impacts event performance and growth.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an Attendee Sales Manager to drive attendee growth and revenue across our global Skift Live events. This mid-level role sits at the intersection of sales and marketing—ideal for someone who combines commercial drive with a deep understanding of the event customer journey. You’ll play a key role in uncovering opportunities within our audience ecosystem, turning data into action, interest into registrations, and attendees into long‑term advocates through proactive outreach and meaningful conversations. You’ll help Skift deliver a more personalized, high‑touch experience for our prospective attendees by ensuring each one receives thoughtful, informed guidance that makes their decision to attend clear and confident.
Some of What You’ll Do
- Revenue Ownership & Conversion
- Own ticket sales revenue targets for all Skift Live events, driving both warm inbound conversions and targeted outbound sales.
- Convert marketing‑generated leads into paying attendees through consultative outreach, personalized follow‑up, and timely engagement.
- Execute multi‑channel outreach—via email, LinkedIn, and phone—to engage prospects and close sales with confidence across all communication formats.
- Identify and secure group registrations and team packages, coordinating with marketing to align offers and outreach.
- Proactively identify and pursue new attendee opportunities by digging into HubSpot, LinkedIn, and other platforms to uncover qualified prospects beyond existing lead lists.
- Collaboration & Insights
- Work in full collaboration with the event marketing team to convert BOFU leads using multiple data sources and audience lists.
- Act as a bridge between sales and marketing, sharing qualitative insights from lead conversations to inform campaign optimization, content strategy, and audience targeting.
- Collaborate closely with the event marketing team to align messaging, pricing tiers, timing, and audience segmentation.
- Retention & Reporting
- Nurture past attendees and warm leads between events to increase retention and repeat attendance.
- Use HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Lusha to research, track, and manage leads through the sales funnel.
- Provide weekly reporting on pipeline activity, conversion rates, and revenue performance, including insights that inform campaign optimization.
- Maintain an accurate, up‑to‑date CRM pipeline to support data‑driven decision‑making.
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in B2B conference ticket sales.
- Proven record of meeting or exceeding revenue and volume targets.
- Hands‑on experience with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and data‑enrichment tools like Lusha.
- Strong understanding of sales pipelines, lead qualification, and CRM hygiene.
- Comfort with both outbound prospecting and inbound conversion workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication—able to craft outreach that feels consultative, not transactional.
- A proactive, performance‑driven mindset and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with the travel or media industries a plus.
Success Metrics
- Achieve or exceed ticket revenue targets per event.
- Improve lead‑to‑registration conversion rates and group ticket sales quarter over quarter.
- Increase repeat attendance and retention year over year.
- Maintain a clean, accurate CRM pipeline with actionable insights shared across teams.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to grow within a respected and innovative media company.
- Exposure to the intersection of media, events, and travel intelligence.
- Collaborative, supportive, and remote‑friendly work environment.
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
