Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) is a collective of over 1,200 architects, designers, engineers, and planners working across studios in London, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Hong Kong, Melbourne, Riyadh and Dubai. We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Senior Project Manager capable of taking the lead on major projects, or seamlessly transitioning into existing ones to maintain momentum. European and/or Middle Eastern experience is preferred. We are active in these regions in transport, government projects, commercial, residential and large scale mixed use development, and experience in more than one of these fields would be welcomed.
SOM’s studio is inter-disciplinary with projects capable of drawing upon Urban Design, Architecture, Structural Engineering, Interiors and Sustainable Engineering. Experience across multiple disciplines is a plus.

You Will
- Be responsible for the commercial success of your projects and take the lead with the client in managing programme, delivery and fee.
- Coordinate SOM’s design team to enable them to be successful from early concept through delivery, ensuring constructability, performance, and exceptional quality.
- Engage with the multi-disciplinary teams to support coordination and resolve complex challenges with creativity and clarity.
- Actively contribute to mentoring of the next generation of talent and contribute to a dynamic, design-led culture.
Who You Are
- A licensed (preferred) architect with 10+ years experience leading large-scale, complex projects.
- A passionate advocate for impactful and sustainable design.
- A natural leader who energizes and inspires interdisciplinary teams to achieve excellence.
- An articulate communicator, capable of contributing to all stages of the project life-cycle from acquisition of new work through to completion and able to understand the impact of good project management on design.
