PositionResponsibilities
●Performsstructuralengineeringdesignandpreparesdesignandconstructiondocuments,
integrating own work and reviews the work of others.
●Solvescomplexproblemsinconnectionwithstructuralengineeringsegmentsofprojects.
●DirectsJunior,IntermediateandProfessionalStructuralEngineersinpreparationofdrawings and engineering design and analysis.
●Coordinatesdetailsanddimensions.
●Reviewsstructuralengineeringdocumentsforcodecompliance.
●Developstheentirestructuralengineeringdesignconceptincorporatingplanning,architectural, engineering, and other required systems.
●Overseesthecoordinationeffortswithotherdisciplines.Ensuresstructuralengineering
documents are coordinated with other disciplines.
●Overseesthepreparationofcompletestructuralengineeringdocumentsonprojects.
●Reviewsstructuralengineeringdesigndocumentsforcompliancewithapprovedprogram

development.

MinimumQualifications
●Master’sdegreeinStructuralEngineering.
●Minimum 6 years of experience in structural analysis, design, documentation and detailing on a variety of projects and with principal structural materials (concrete, steel, timber).
●Chartered Engineer status and Full Membership of IStructE and/or ICE required. For candidates with CEng MICE, GIStructE qualification required/close to completion.LEED accreditation preferred.
●Exhibitsinitiative,processinnovation,problemsolving,anddecisionqualitywithahighattention to precision and accuracy at aproject level.
●Activelycollaboratesataprojectteamlevelbycriticallyandconstructivelyevaluatingideas.
●Effectivelycommunicatesinternallythroughtimelyandappropriatewritten,oral,andvisual
means.
●Demonstratesgeneralknowledgeofsiteplanning,civil,structuralandmechanical,electrical engineering, and architectural practice.
●Demonstratespracticalknowledgeofbuildingcodes.
●PossessesadvancedknowledgeofcomputationalandFEMtoolsfordailyuseonproject
design.Proficient use of ETABS is required as a minimum. Ability to use Strand7 is
preferred.
