Skiddle is looking for a new writer to join the written content team. The UK’s biggest ‘What’s On’ guide and proudly independent ticket platform needs a writer who loves events, including club nights, gigs, festivals, comedy, foodie fests, experiences, attractions, and more. It’s hybrid (a couple of days in the Manchester/Salford office per week), it’s fun, and we’re dead chill and really cool.
You’d be writing blogs, newsletters, website content, and more for B2C and B2B.
As an Editorial Content Creator, you will be responsible for crafting compelling, well-researched, and engaging content for a variety of channels, including websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, and more. You'll play a key role in developing our content strategy, ensuring that all content aligns with the brand's voice, tone, and objectives while resonating with our target audience. You should be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have a passion for storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, write, and edit original content for various digital platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, and marketing collateral, both for B2C and B2B audiences.
- Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to ensure content supports business goals and enhances brand identity.
- Develop editorial calendars and content strategies in line with key initiatives and seasonal campaigns.
- Ensure all content is optimised for SEO, readability, and audience engagement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, topics, and competitor activities to create relevant and timely content.
- Proofread and edit content for grammar, spelling, clarity, brand tone of voice, and style consistency.
