Sketchley School are recruiting for a Housekeeper to join our existing support team - part of our friendly, caring and supportive whole school team at Forest House. We are looking for passionate people to make sure our site is safe and comfortable, whilst covering all aspects of housekeeping.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school, will have a flexible approach and be able to respond quickly to requests for assistance. The role will include cleaning the main building as well as the additional classroom blocks, toilets, training kitchen, staff area as well as stock taking of cleaning products and refilling dispensers as required; training will be given where necessary.
Due to the nature of the school, the housekeeper will require access until 18:00 some days to enable complete cleaning of the classrooms and main school areas after students leave at 15:00. This will involve closing the site after the education team leave and may include a short period of lone working.
The following skills would be of benefit to the role:
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or site cleaning position.
- A good knowledge of COSHH and health and safety in the workplace; however, training will be provided.
- You will be organised, adaptable and thorough in your approach to work.
