Sketchley School are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy team working across our three sites: Sketchley Hall, Burbage; Progression House, Hinckley; Forest House, Narborough. We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate people to become an integral part of our therapy team. The successful candidate will join our multi-disciplinary team, which may suit someone experienced in a special needs environment or newly qualified, who will be required to work closely with other Speech and Language Therapists and other professionals providing support to students; reporting to the Therapy Manager.

This role will be contracted to 42 weeks per year broken down into 38 weeks of term time, 5 training days (inset days) then 15 days over the school holidays as directed by the Multi-site Headteacher.

Sketchley Hall School is an independent specialist day school located across three sites in South Leicestershire. We provide full-time education for up to 80 pupils and post-16 students aged 8 to 19 years. All pupils have a diagnosis of autism and most have additional social, emotional or mental health needs. In addition to supporting pupils through Key Stages 2, 3 and 4 at Sketchley Hall and Forest House, we have also built strong relationships with a range of colleges and provide further support to our post-16 cohort based at Progression House. Learners have the opportunity to access a variety of courses whilst based at Progression House, which also enables them to achieve English & Mathematics up to GCSE level or equivalent. Those who do not attend college have a broad in-house Curriculum offering, allowing for both academic and personal development.

The successful candidate will be registered and will hold BSc Occupational Therapy or profession specific equivalent qualification, along with the following characteristics:
