We have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join our friendly team.

It would be an advantage if candidates have some knowledge of Hospitality and/or Catering from working in a pub/cafe/restaurant, but it is not essential. However, a willingness to learn whilst gaining a qualification is required.

In the apprenticeship role your duties will include serving food and beverages to our customers, taking payments, clearing tables, replenishing sauces etc. You will be given full training and complete a nationally recognised qualification working alongside our experienced team.

You will be involved in:

• Checking in guests/diners and taking payments
• Assisting in the prepping and organising of tables
• Front of House duties including:
• Serving food to patrons
• Greet guests/diners on arrival
• Maintain stock and essential beverages and condiments at the bar
• Clean tables and keep up to date with cleanliness at all times
• Work and adhere to restaurant standards

Scale of Apprentice Pay

Under 18: £7.90 per hour

18 – 20: £10.10 per hour

21 and over: £11.44 per hour

Location/Travel

The restaurant is on a main bus route and parking is available on-site.

Entry requirements

Maths and English at Level 2 is desirable (but we can provide Functional Skills as part of the development if required).

Experience within Hospitality or Catering is desirable.

Training to be Provided

You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship.

As you progress through your apprenticeship your duties and responsibilities will alter as you develop the skills for a successful career in hospitality and catering.

Training will be a mix of face-to-face and online learning.

You will gain either Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship Qualification or Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship Qualification.

Functional Skills in Maths and English if required.

Things to consider

Hospitality roles can be physically demanding with prolonged periods of time on your feet. This is a full-time role which will require flexibility with hours over a 6 day period including Bank Holidays and Sundays. Contracted Hours: 24 per week, but could work up to 40 in a week depending on rota. Start as soon as possible.
