A brand new family-owned independent nursery with two settings, one is situated in the heart of Trowbridge town centre above Baloos Softplay Centre.
We provide full day care for children aged 2 – 5 years old here.
The other in Melksham town, along Spa Road.
Where we provide full day care for children aged 0- 5 years old.

The purpose of the job is to:
- Support the Management in establishing ‘Excellence in childcare with a difference’.
- Maintain a high standard of leadership and personal development for both staff and children.
- To Liaise with all other team leaders
Main responsibilities:
- To ensure our mission statement is upheld. ‘Excellence in childcare with a difference’
- To support Management and in the absence of either the Manager or Deputy undertake day to day duties such as staff ratio’s, emails and phone messages.
- To be responsible for the induction of new staff in the team.
- To be responsible for staff appraisals, PDP and TNA.
- To implement and monitor area business plan including cascading training.
- To be responsible for area meetings and support management meetings.
- To support effective communication with key members of senior staff – Management, Senco, Team leaders, Mentors and Assessors.
- To support when necessary the disciplinary procedure.
- Ensure that the Nursery is effectively marketed to prospective clients.
- To be responsible for the induction of new parents and children
- To be responsible for learning journeys for appointed key children and those of your team.
- To assist with implementing ILP for SEN
- Liaise with the parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress during the day and be available for parents to meet with regarding key children.
- To participate with core training when provided by management
- To support Parent’s evenings and social events
- To be responsible for effective communication and liaison between Nursery staff and parents.
- To support and monitor an effective behaviour management policy.
- To be responsible for the implementation of the National care standards in accordance with Ofsted, Equality act, Westview’s policy and procedures and staff Handbook.
- Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage throughout the day including record keeping, planning and ensure daily observations are taken on all children.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) is required.
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is essential.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive working environment.
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to complete one).
- Experience with planning and delivering learning activities.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
