Rentstart is a local charity ending homelessness and supporting vulnerable people into secure housing. We’re seeking an ambitious, organised Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice to join our frontline team. In this role, you’ll gain hands‑on experience managing business systems and supporting community projects.

We are a fast‑paced, forward‑thinking charity dedicated to combatting homelessness and helping vulnerably housed people rebuild their lives. By working directly with local communities, landlords, and partners, we house and support over 150 people every year. As our Business Administration Apprentice, you won't just be learning the ropes of a professional office—you will be the operational backbone of a team that changes lives every single day.
You will provide administrative support to the Head of Operations and wider team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day delivery of Rentstart's homelessness services by:
- Provide general admin assistance to staff.
- Manage shared inboxes, answer calls, and draft routine correspondence.
- Maintain accurate paper and digital filing systems, handle document processing (printing/scanning), and order office supplies.
- Manage diaries, schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes.
- Follow up on action points and assist with project administration.
- Process review paperwork and track annual leave.
- Help prepare reports for trustees, funders, and stakeholders, and liaise with IT support.
- Maintain basic financial records and spreadsheets as required.

Entry requirements
Interest in the charity sector or homelessness issues.
Experience of volunteering, part‑time work or administrative tasks.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications.
