Strike Group is an Essex-based sports and education company on a mission to get more young people active, engaged, and supported — in the classroom, on the pitch, and in the community. The Group brings together three connected strands. Strike Camps, Strike Education and SA Foundation

Strike Group is an Essex-based sports and education company on a mission to get more young people active, engaged, and supported — in the classroom, on the pitch, and in the community. The Group brings together three connected strands:

  • Strike Camps— our holiday activity camps, running across multiple Essex and East of England venues (including HAF-funded programmes providing free places to children from lower-income families), delivering multi-activity sport, football camps, and themed days throughout the school holidays.
  • Strike Education— our in-school sports coaching and mentorship offer, working within mainstream and specialist schools (including SEND and SEMH settings) to deliver PE, coaching, and pastoral sports mentorship.
  • SA Foundation— our charitable arm, extending Strike Group's mission of using sport to create opportunity for young people who face barriers to participation.

Across all three, we're growing fast — new venues, new services, and new partnerships — and we need someone to help keep the whole operation running smoothly.

The Role

We're looking for aBusiness Administrator Apprenticeto join our operations team and help keep Strike Group organised, compliant, and running well behind the scenes. Every camp, school session, and community programme we deliver depends on good administration: accurate bookings, well-planned rotas, up-to-date records, and clear communication with parents, schools, and partners.

This is a varied, hands-on role at the centre of a busy and growing business. One day you might be building a staff rota for a half-term camp; the next, you could be processing bookings, preparing paperwork for a school partnership, or helping pull together a report for a funder. You'll work closely with the management team and see first-hand how a sports and education business operates across several venues and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Camp and session administration
  • Support the administration of Strike Camps, including bookings, registers, and parent communications
  • Help prepare and maintain staff rotas across venues and weeks
  • Keep participant, staff, and session records accurate and up to date

Operations and compliance

  • Maintain and organise documentation, including risk assessments, policies, and safeguarding records
  • Help track staff compliance, such as DBS checks, training, and insurance renewals
  • Support quality assurance by checking that processes are followed and records are complete

Partnerships, reporting and finance support

  • Prepare paperwork, reports, and data for schools, funders, and partners (including HAF reporting)
  • Support invoicing, payment tracking, and general financial administration
  • Respond to emails and phone enquiries from parents, schools, and commissioners in a professional, friendly way

Team and project support

  • Support the wider team with scheduling, diary management, and meeting preparation
  • Help with projects as the business grows, such as new venue launches and new service lines
  • Look for ways to improve how we work and suggest better processes

  • Happy to take initiative, ask questions, and work as part of a small, fast-moving team
  • Interest in sport, young people, or community work is a bonus
  • No experience required — we're looking for potential and attitude; full training and mentoring is provided through the apprenticeship
