The main duties will include but are not limited to:
- Operating farm machinery including tractors and attachments
- Monitoring livestock
- Handling livestock and providing appropriate accommodation for them
- Working in a team and keeping records
- Farm maintenance and upkeep
Entry requirements: Maths and English would be an advantage.

Training to be provided. You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship. As you progress through your apprenticeship, your duties and responsibilities will alter as you develop the skills for a successful career in agriculture. Training will be a mix of face to face and online learning. You will gain a Livestock Technician Level 3 qualification with further opportunities for training and functional skills maths and English if required.
Things to consider:
- Will need a driving license due to location.
- Ability to drive a tractor would be an advantage.
- Working between the hours of 6.30am-8.00pm Monday to Sunday on a rota.
