Exciting opportunity to join Claire House Hospice’s Communications Team. We are looking for an energetic and creative Content Creator Apprentice to help create marketing content and support social media activity. Working with teams such as Income Generation and Care, you will help share the hospice’s story and make a meaningful impact. Claire House has launched an ambitious five-year strategy that aims to transform the organisation to reach more families who need us, as well as developing a second full hospice in Liverpool.

In order to deliver on this plan, Claire House will need various materials to use across different channels, including printed advertising and engaging social media content. High engagement and awareness are key during this time. This role will help plan, develop, create and evaluate content for the charity. A passion for and understanding of social media is essential, as well as an understanding of the importance of marketing and creative materials, alongside unlimited enthusiasm, creativity and an ability to build relationships.

In return this role will offer you an opportunity to build your content creation and marketing skills and raise awareness of the vital support the charity offers to seriously and terminally ill babies, children, young adults and their families.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Researching, planning and developing content ideas
  • Innovating and presenting new content, digital and social media strategies
  • Supporting the production of marketing materials
  • Implementing and supporting content marketing strategies including social media, website, blog, SEO, PR and more
  • Driving traffic to Claire House pages
  • Developing engaging online content including videos, graphics, and written copy
  • Uploading and editing content on the Claire House website
  • Measuring and reporting performance of content and digital marketing campaigns, assessing against goals, using relevant sites such as Google Analytics
  • Keeping abreast of new social media trends, technologies, and digital marketing trends and insights; helping to implement these new technologies and insights in developing campaigns
Entry Requirements
  • Minimum C/5 in GCSE English and Maths.
  • A passion for content creation and social media.
  • An understanding of brand, what looks good and an ability to follow the trends of social media.
  • Experience of creating content for different channels, e.g. social media platforms and/or print.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • An ability to juggle a varied workload.
  • Team worker with an ability to work collaboratively but also under own initiative.
  • A desire to make a difference and contribute to the overall objectives of Claire House.
  • Experience of using editing software, such as Photoshop or CapCut is not essential but desirable.
  • Though a qualification in communications, media and marketing is not essential, it is preferred.

Training to be provided by The Juice Academy, a multi-award-winning, industry-led apprenticeship provider with a unique delivery model. The masterclass training is delivered by top notch, practicing industry experts. Since 2013, we’ve been passionate about bringing industry-led excellence to apprenticeships.

You will be completing the Content Creator Level 3 Apprenticeship standard, of which you will develop content to maximise audience engagement in order to promote, sell and market an organisation’s products and services. Whether the apprentice is engaged in social media for developing a brand, written content to generate leads or creating videos to maximise engagement, they develop key fundamentals in data and insights, SEO and distribution, to underpin their knowledge and skills to deliver ROI.

The programme also covers:

  • Basic Marketing Principles
  • Digital Marketing Campaigns
  • Content planning, development and creation
  • Principles of SEO, web analytics and social media metrics

13 month programme, including a 3 month End Point Assessment.

Things to Consider
  • The salary will start at £24,800, thereafter moving to National Minimum Wage for your age.
  • DBS check will be required.
  • Digital Marketing is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the UK, so prospects upon completion are very promising with industry experience and a qualification under your belt.

You will gain a Level 3 Qualification in Content Creation, awarded by The Juice Academy.
