Behind their clinical and pharmacy teams sits a growing digital operation — powering platforms like eMeds andInsight®, and enterprise applications including their ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning Software) and PMR (Patient Medication Record), that help their customers and staff run the day-to-day business activities.

Now they are looking for an enthusiastic young IT apprentice to join that team, based at their state-of-the-art facility in Chester.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting theIT team with day-to-day helpdesk and troubleshooting tasks
  • Getting hands-on with the systems and software that keep Speedsdigital solutions running
  • Learning how IT infrastructure, networking, and support work in a real, fast-moving business
  • Picking up skills across hardware, software, and data security
  • Working alongside experienced professionals who'll actually take the time to teach you

  • Someone curious, reliable, and keen to learn
  • Good communication skills — you'll be helping colleagues, not just machines
  • No experience necessary — this is a proper apprenticeship, you will be taughtthe rest

You'll be working on-site in Lakeside, Chester.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE maths and English at grade C/ level 4 or above is preferred
  • A strong interest in computers, tech and IT

Training to be provided

Apprentify's Information Communications Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship equips employees with the core technical knowledge and workplace skillsrequiredto support IT systems and deliver effective technical support.

Unlike purely technical courses, this programme combines technical capability with professional behaviours, recognising that effective IT support relies on both. Through structured learning and real workplace application, employees develop the skills to troubleshoot issues, support users, andmaintainsystems with confidence.

By the end of the programme, learners are equipped to manage everyday IT challenges, support infrastructure and systems, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organisation.

Things to consider

Salary will be £18,000 - £20,000 depending on experience. The role is based full time at the company's state-of-the-art facility in Chester. The apprenticeship programme will last approximately 17 months, with the opportunity to progress into a permanent role upon completion of the programme.
