We are looking for a Pupil Engagement Lead to join our team here at Skegby Junior Academy! Are you passionate about supporting children’s wellbeing and helping them thrive? We are seeking a dedicated Pupil Engagement Lead to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.
In this role, you will:
- Lead on pupil engagement and attendance strategies across the Academy.
- Promote an inclusive and positive culture within the Academy.
- Deliver high-quality pastoral care and support.
- Promote positive attitudes, wellbeing and behaviour across the Academy.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn.
- Lead initiatives that promote and support positive behaviour, resilience, and mental health.
- Work collaboratively with the SENCo to implement timely, targeted interventions.
- Monitor attendance and wellbeing, implementing strategies to overcome barriers to learning.
- Form part of the safeguarding team and be a Deputy DSL.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with children in a pastoral/safeguarding role.
- Someone who is confident in leading on behaviour, attendance and wellbeing.
- Someone who can develop our current pastoral provision to meet the diverse needs of our children.
- Someone who is creative and thinks outside of the box.
- Effective behaviour management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, empathetic approach to supporting pupils and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a committed team.
