You will be working in the Building Services OU, based in Walsall Hospital, where we are responsible for creating healthy workplaces, comfortable homes and efficient facilities that improve people’s lives. As the Technical Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for the implementation of company procedures relating to site systems including but not limited to the following: open and closed water systems, pressure systems, refrigerant systems, ventilation systems and electrical systems.
- Work with other parts of the Skanska organisation to promote best knowledge and a ‘One Skanska’ approach.
- Represent Skanska in interfacing with the client and Trust on key projects and site matters.
- Engage with the external Authorising Engineers for audit, close out of actions and technical advice.
- Engage with Skanska Compliance team on compliance related items providing evidence to support the close out of NCRs and OFIs.
We are looking for:
- Degree level or equivalent experience.
- Mechanical/electrical qualifications are desirable.
- Industry recognised qualifications and experience.
- Robust knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical and building systems and applicable regulations.
- Previous experience within a similar role on large scale and complex projects.
- In depth understanding of Health and Safety Legislation.
