Overview
Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is looking for a Senior Engineering Surveyor to join the infrastructure team at the Lower Thames Crossing site.
What you’ll do
- Support the Engineering Survey Manager in co-ordination across all technical work streams, during each stage of a project from design verification through to construction.
- Develop their engineering survey teams to meet project needs and ensure they have the correct training/knowledge in how to work safely.
- Ensure that the project has the appropriate survey control network to fulfil the construction requirements.
- Setting out the works in accordance with the contract requirements before work is programmed to commence.
- Share expert advice and guidance to the members of the engineering survey teams and other parts of the business related to engineering surveying and geospatial best practice.
- Provide a topographical survey in preparation for engineering works on site, setting out for the works, reports and measures and final survey information.
- Review with the engineering team that sufficient information is available and in the correct format to set out the works in accordance with the programme.
- Ensure quality is adhered to in relation to setting out and inspection and test plans.
What you’ll bring to the role
- ONC/B Tec in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying and previous experience as a Senior Engineering Surveyor.
- Extensive awareness of appropriate survey instruments, software and working methods.
- Full professional Membership of CICES or equivalent body.
- Commercial acumen.
