We are looking for a Senior Design Manager to join our Building team based from our Moorgate office and central London projects. Our Building Operating Unit in London is at the forefront of delivering high-profile, complex projects across the commercial sector. As a Senior Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design process from concept through to completion on a major building project.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage the project execution plan (design) and design management plan for the project
- Lead the design management function for the project or activity and coordinate the design requirements of the Client’s team, the consultant design team, Skanska and the sub-contractors
- Reporting into the project leadership team, manage the completion of design related elements for the client monthly report and internal governance
- Work with the project leadership team to deliver against design control and project governance requirements
- Chair Design Team meetings with the client, consultants and/or sub-contractors
What you'll bring to the role
- Bachelors’ degrees in Architecture/ Engineering or a design related field
- Experience in senior leadership role or leading design teams
- Experience of delivering construction projects (£50m-£200m+) commercial office projects working through bid, PCSA and delivery stages, and successfully converting and delivering on quality, time and to budget.
- Experience of working with a broad range of stakeholders, including functional experts, senior stakeholders, technical leads
