Senior Construction Supervisor

Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society. We are looking for a Senior Construction Supervisor to join our Buildings team based in Central London.

You will effectively and professionally manage, monitor, and supervise the construction works at a central London commercial development including management of relevant subcontract package – deliver in accordance with company procedures, programme requirements and project specifications.

What you'll do:

• Promote the site safety culture, ensure all works are carried out in a planned, controlled and safe manner in accordance with statutory regulations, current standards and company health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Manage the trade contractors including the production of works to drawings and specifications, manage performance on site.
• Oversee subcontractors, labour and material requirements for the contract and support Construction Managers with matters primarily relating to onsite activities.
• Solve site problems when they occur, providing feedback to Project/Construction Managers on any defects or defaults found and put forward any innovative ideas to alter current methodology.
• Regularly inspect works for compliance with design and specifications, and ensure all design solutions offered by designers and sub-contractors fully comply with the project requirements.

What you'll bring to the role:

• Construction related qualification to HNC level.
• Member, or working towards membership, of a professional institution (MCIOB/ICE highly desirable).
• Be in possession of a current Managers CSCS card and other relevant qualifications including SMSTS & First Aider Qualified.
• Suitable experience as a Construction Supervisor on similar size and type projects for a tier 1 main contractor preferred.
