Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society. We are looking for a Design Manager to join our Infrastructure Water team in Peterborough.
What you'll do:
- Lead and manage engineering design delivery for a portfolio of water treatment projects.
- Develop, implement and manage Engineering Project Plans to control scope, schedule, cost, risk and resources.
- Guide Senior Discipline Engineers (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) on appropriate design methods.
- Assess project complexity and assign suitably competent engineering resources using a “best for task” approach.
- Work with Senior Discipline Engineers and BIM Programme Manager to implement and monitor design quality procedures (right-first-time).
- Support engagement, selection, contracting, management and integration of supplier and subcontractor design input.
- Ensure designs consider health & safety, environmental impacts, construction, procurement, customer needs and Anglian Water operations.
What you'll bring to the role:
- An engineering, or equivalent, degree is preferable.
- Preferably chartered, or working towards, chartered status.
- Preferable experience of water-sector assets and capital projects.
