We are currently seeking a Graphics Designer to join an onsite creative team who provide our MoD and NATO client with a comprehensive graphics service.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with the client face to face – to ascertain their graphic design needs.
- Offer graphic‑design‑related advice to the client.
- After consultation with the client and the establishment of the client’s needs, create appealing design work according to the client’s specific requirements.
- Liaise with graphic designer/creative team leader for guidance/advice if needed and colleagues in the print room and other departments to ensure the final design work is printed to a high standard and completed within the suggested timescales for the client.
- Provide support to other team members if necessary to ensure excellent service is always delivered, including photography.
- Ad hoc office duties to include ensuring email server is checked, collecting deliveries, stock checking or recording serial numbers for managers’ reports, etc.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Industry experience, preferably in an in‑house studio or corporate environment.
- Proficient in IT (Mac & PC).
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator & Acrobat) – intermediate level.
- Creative and attention to detail with good knowledge typography & layout.
- Proofing, IT admin and filing using server.
- Excellent customer service skills, time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as a team member.
- Ability to prioritise workloads with multiple ongoing projects.
- Some experience in working with brand guidelines.
- Use of large format printer, mounting and laminating (full training will be given).
- Photography – to assist the photography department with basic tasks (full training will be given).
- Note: This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. Applicants must meet UK residency requirements where applicable.
