Overview

We are looking for a Maintenance Joiner to join our Building Services Team in Derby. Working as a Maintenance Joiner you will be responsible for carrying out interior and external maintenance joinery including small works to a high standard.
What you’ll do
- Interpret and work from instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to your trade, without supervision.
- Set out new work using relevant tools and materials without supervision.
- Experience in the machining of timber and fabrication of new joinery.
- Carry out repairs to ironmongery, blinds, door furniture and glazing.
- Key cutting.
- Cut and construct metal framing systems.
- Prepared to work at high levels on scaffolding.
- Be able to work on small work schemes without supervision.
- On-call for emergency work.
What you’ll bring to the role
- A recognised apprenticeship with a minimum of City & Guilds craft certificate/NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry / Joinery and proven experience in the trade.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation.
- Knowledge of COSHH would be an advantage.
- Construction skill card holder
- Full driving licence
