We are looking for a Social Value Advisor to join our Building team based in London. Working as a Social Value Advisor you will be responsible for supporting projects with their social value requirements by developing and delivering project Social Value plans. Plans should support customer and local authority social value requirements and will need to align with the Skanska focus areas of employment & skills, carbon, inclusion & diversity and supply chain.

What you’ll do:

  • Supporting projects to deliver skills, employment and other social value aspects as part of contractual obligations.
  • Developing project-specific social value plans which support customer, local authority and Skanska social value aspirations.
  • Developing social value reporting process on projects and inputting into internal and external reports.
  • Forming positive working relationships with relevant regulators, particularly local authorities.
  • Building positive relationships with the supply chain to support them with their s106 targets and relevant local authority employment mechanisms.
  • Encouraging their support of wider social value aspects such as school engagement programmes.
  • Maintaining a good relationship with industry bodies e.g. Considerate Constructors, Build UK and sharing communications and best practice around the Skanska business.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Proven experience working in a Social Value Advisors role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders essential.
  • Good understanding of the Social Value Act, Construction Playbook, Public Procurement Note 06/20, Social Value Model and the National TOMs or other similar social value measurement tool preferred.
  • Experience of delivering contractual obligations.
  • Experience working with Local Authorities.

Please note this is a fixed term contract until 1st April 2027.
